Team of Chaliye Pokhara leaves for India

Pokhara News, June 30 –

A team of ‘Chaliye Pokhara’ campaign launched by the Western Region Hotel Association Pokhara targeting Indian tourists has left for India in the bid to promote tourism in the local Lakeside.

The visit is believed to help reviving and strengthening tourism affected by the earthquake of April 2015, the blockade and Tarai-Madhes protests.

The team that has 30 members including tourism entrepreneurs of Pokhara and Lumbini, officials of the Nepal Tourism Board and media-persons will visit some places of India including Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Allahabad and Faizabad, inform the locals of tourist destinations in Pokhara and surrounding areas and invite them to visit the areas with an offer of a special package, said General Secretary of the Association Ganesh Raj Pahari.
