A boy was killed after landslide triggered by heavy downpour last night buried a house at Pasryanga cliff in Pokhara – Lekhnath Metropolitan City – 18.
The landslide swept the residence of Tarapati Adhikari killing 14 – year – old Tanka Chhetri, who was sleeping with his grandmother, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Khadga Bahadur Khatri of District Police Office.
Chhetri, who was seriously injured in the incident, died in course of treatment at the Fishtail Hospital. The boy had arrived at his maternal uncle’s house on Saturday from his home in Syangja. His grandmother survived the catastrophe. RSS
